My story
I’ve always had this dream of being a Hollywood actor/ screenwriter. That’s what I initially went to school for, but sometime along the way things went awry.
After graduating from my University with a Hospitality degree and having every intention of living a free-spirited lifestyle, I was lucky enough to stumble across the art & science of content marketing. As I continued to study the craft, and its applications to the wondrous world of technology, I began to wonder- based on my experiences- in what ways can tech marketers leverage storytelling and/or video production.
I can sense the hyper intelligence and craftsmanship exuding from most enterprise software. Even if it’s not the most exciting SaaS in the world, I understand that someone had an idea and went through the trouble to bring it to fruition. There must be a reason for this; and that’s what I plan on uncovering and celebrating.
Looking back on those days in filmmaking school, there was this mantra “Show, don’t tell”. Rather than facts and figures, stories are capable of overriding the analytical part of your brain, streamlining messages directly to the heart.
That is a much more efficient way of growing your brand- and possibly reducing CAC.
